Concealed Carry is permitted in Pennsylvania with a permit issued by the County of residence. It should be stressed that anyone without a permit to carry is guilty of the following offense as defined by the PA Code:

18 Pa.C.S. § 6106: Firearms not to be carried without a license

• (a) Offense defined.--Any person who carries a firearm in any vehicle or any person who carries a firearm concealed on or about his person, except in his place of abode or fixed place of business, without a valid and lawfully issued license under this chapter commits a felony of the third degree.
  
  In order to avoid prosecution under the Code, please consider obtaining a license to carry firearms and ensure all of your firearms are legally registered to the right people. 
  
  You should call your county sheriff to find out how to apply to obtain a permit. As of right now, there is a background check and fee associated with each license but no requirement to take a course. Your local sheriff's office will be able to more correctly illuminate the requirements necessary to get a license to carry firearms.
  
  I encourage all my clients who do not have a license to carry firearms to immediately seek out this license as it can mean the difference between having a legal loaded gun in their possession and having a felony on their record.
