A brief introduction to my practice

1902 BSJ Firm Picture_edited.jpg

I am a passionate and ardent supporter of the guarantee of our rights under the Second Amendment.

As an independent guarantee of our federal rights, the Pennsylvania State Constitution further states that:

"Section 21 . Right to Bear ArmsThe right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned."

It is my duty as a sworn officer of the court to uphold the Second Amendment to the Federal Constitution and also Section 21 of the Pennsylvania Constitution. It is not only a duty but a responsibility for me to represent gun owners and their right to legally acquire both weapons which are classified under the National Firearms Act and ensure that all weapons are treated as equally important collectibles and transferred to the next generation or appropriate owners. It is important that gun rights are not only preserved for the generations using them today but also for future generations who want to keep them as family heirlooms, especially Class III, NFA weapons.

I achieve this representation by ensuring that NFA trust settlors/trustors understand what they can and cannot do and that gun owners in general understand the risks associated with not having an adequate estate plan in place to determine the smooth transition of their collection to the next person or family member.

As an estate attorney, I focus on protecting the rights of my clients against overburdening probate and taxes and minimizing the expenses associated with an estate. One of the best ways to do this is to have a plan for who gets what assets and in what amounts. Often, guns are either left out of the plan or forgotten about when dealing with other lawyers. Thousands of dollars in weapons end up given to the wrong person or sold off for far less than market value. After seeing this story repeat, again and again, I now ask every estate client if they have a large collection of weapons and how they would like them to be distributed. The preservation and protection of your guns and other valuables are paramount during the time after your passing, please feel free to give me a call or contact me using the form below to discuss this.

I look forward to working with you and your individual needs.
